These terms govern your use of the Petunia Chatterton Editions website and your purchase of personalised books and related products from us. By placing an order you accept these terms in their current form.
1. Who we are
Petunia Chatterton Editions is an online publisher of personalised children's books, operating in France. Our contact email is contact@petuniachatterton.com.
2. Products
Each book is printed to order and personalised with the details you enter on the editor (child's first name, pronouns, dedication, etc.). Final printed pages may differ very slightly from the on-screen preview because of paper colour and ink. Cover artwork, page layout, and story content are protected by copyright and may not be reproduced without our permission.
3. Orders and payment
Orders are placed through our website. Payment is taken in full at the time of order via our payment processor, Stripe. Your card details are never stored on our servers. An order confirmation email is sent automatically once payment is received.
4. Pricing
Prices are shown in euros and include applicable French VAT. Shipping costs are added at checkout. We may change prices at any time, but the price applicable to your order is the one shown at the moment of purchase.
5. Delivery
Books are printed and shipped within 7 business days of order confirmation. Delivery is handled by our print partner (Gelato) and a national carrier. Delivery times depend on your address — typical France delivery is 2–4 business days after dispatch.
6. Right of withdrawal
Under French consumer law, personalised goods are exempt from the standard 14-day right of withdrawal (Art. L221-28 of the French Consumer Code). However, if your book arrives damaged or with a manufacturing defect, we will refund or reprint it free of charge. Email contact@petuniachatterton.com within 14 days of delivery with a photo of the issue.
7. Refunds
Refunds (for damaged or defective items) are issued to the original payment method and typically settle within 5–10 business days.
8. Liability
Our liability is limited to the amount you paid for the order in question. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses (e.g. missed gift dates) where delivery is delayed by our carrier.
9. Applicable law
These terms are governed by French law. Any dispute will be heard by the French courts with jurisdiction at the seller's registered office, except where consumer law gives you the right to a different court.
